# Nothing Graded in Seven Days, 414 New Camp Calls, and a Pro Bowl Record of 0-for-65 | MissedTakes Daily

*Published 2026-08-30 — MissedTakes*

The grading queue produced nothing this week. Zero takes settled in the last seven days — no games, no awards, no draft, nothing that resolves in late August. Meanwhile 414 new takes went on the board. That gap is the whole story of the day: pundits are talking at full volume about the one part of the calendar where almost nothing can be checked yet.

## What the 414 are made of

Look at the most recent claims and it is cutdown week, wall to wall. Ralph Ventre naming four Bills backups safe. Philip Hughes arguing Washington should trade Jordan Magee and Dyami Brown before final cuts. Doug Joubert sorting the Saints' rookie class into starters, third receivers and practice-squad bodies. Jeff Kerr crediting Markel Bell with the Eagles' No. 3 tackle job. [Geoff Schwartz](/pundits/geoff-schwartz) is one of the few going further out on a limb: he [called Bo Nix for a step backward](/opinions/6a87d70d-574b-4958-b19e-1e7d1edc2ca3) in year three, which does not settle until the season does.

The backlog those claims join is enormous. [Depth Chart Calls](/predictions/depth-chart) have 3,354 takes on file and only 415 graded — 2,939 still open. [Roster Spot Calls](/predictions/roster-spot) have 1,700 takes and 49 graded, leaving 1,651 pending. Some of that clears within days, when the 53-man rosters are announced. Most of the depth-chart pile waits on season-long usage.

## The camp categories are where credit goes to die

Here is why volume is not the same as value. Graded depth-chart calls average 93.5 accuracy — and a MissedTakes Score of just 1.82, meaning the naive baseline got there almost as often. Roster-spot calls average 81.6 accuracy and a score of **-4.08**: worse than naive. [Trade and Signing Calls](/predictions/player-movement) sit at -15.07 across 349 graded takes, which is the category most of this week's cutdown-trade speculation falls into.

And then there is the worst line in the database. [Pro Bowl and All-Pro Calls](/predictions/player-accolade): 65 graded, average accuracy **0**, average score -98.22. Every graded call of that type has missed. Kerr's line this week — "wouldn't be surprised if Hunt makes his first Pro Bowl this year" — enters a category that is 0-for-65.

On roster calls specifically, only two pundits have five or more graded: Rich Eisen at 90 accuracy on 10 calls with a +20 score, Gregg Rosenthal at 76.9 on 13 with -46.15. Ten and thirteen calls is not a verdict on anybody; it is a note that the sample is finally starting to exist.

## Nobody is on record changing their mind

No reversals were logged this week. That is partly the calendar — there is no new result to revise against — and partly that camp takes tend to be adjustments rather than retractions. Nothing to report, so we are reporting nothing.

## Consensus: the field's 2025 win totals were not close

The standing consensus data is still the most damning thing on the site. On [Season Win Totals](/predictions/season-win-total) for 2025, the field missed Kansas City by 6.3 wins on 13 calls — and the detail matters more than the average. The lowest KC number anyone put up was 10. The Chiefs won 6. All 13 calls were at least four wins too high.

The other direction is just as bad. New England won 14; the highest of 11 calls was 10. Seattle won 14; the highest of seven calls was 11. Denver won 14; the highest of six calls was 11. Three of the league's best records, and not one pundit in the sample got within three wins of any of them.

On the award ballots, the field's 2025 MVP consensus actually landed — Matthew Stafford took 26 of 100 picks and won it. Offensive Rookie of the Year was closer to a coin flip that came up right: Tetairoa McMillan drew 5 of 29 picks, tied with Ashton Jeanty at the top.

## The board

[David Harrison](/pundits/david-harrison) still leads at a 48.77 score and 68.33 accuracy, though 120 of his 131 graded takes are mock draft picks and his record is flagged limited confidence — a strong specialist, not yet a broad one. Marcus Mosher owns the top accuracy inside the top ten at 80.31, and Daniel Jeremiah remains the only established-confidence name up there, with 277 graded takes.
