Nick Shook· Jun 1, 2026

Shook counted down his top five NFL offensive lines for the coming season, ranking the Broncos first, followed by the Steelers, Eagles, Rams and Bills, and named replacement starters he expects to step in for Buffalo at guard and for the Rams at right tackle.

Number one is... the Denver Broncos entirely, but that's a very good group that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Who this take is about

3 checkable claims in this take

Each one is scored on its own against the published methodology. A pundit naming several outcomes is graded on each, not on all-or-nothing.

  • Warren McClendon Jr. to be 1st on the depth chart

Now they are changing the right tackle Rob Havenstein retired, but if you look at it, Warren mclinnon actually started more games in the position there last year than Havenstein did, so he's also another guy who's prepared to take over.

Not settled yet. This is graded once the result is in.

  • Let's go from five to one... I'm going with the Buffalo Bills... Number four is going to be the Los Angeles Rams... It's Jeff Stallin and it's the Philadelphia Eagles [at three]... At number two, I got the Steelers... Number one is... the Denver Broncos

Not settled yet. This is graded once the result is in.

  • Alec Anderson to be 1st on the depth chart

They did lose David Edwards, right, they got to replace him with Alec Anderson... A lot of the time he played was a tackle. Now he's gonna have to shift the guard. But I'm really not worried about that transition.

Not settled yet. This is graded once the result is in.
