The Houston Texans were founded in 1999 and play their home games at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The franchise is owned by Cal McNair, with Nick Caserio serving as general manager and DeMeco Ryans as head coach. The Texans have experienced notable swings in fortune over the years. After playoff appearances in 2015 and 2016 at 9–7 each season, the team slipped to 4–12 in 2017 before rebounding with an 11–5 mark and playoff berth in 2018. A run of difficult seasons followed from 2020 through 2022, including a 3–13–1 record in 2022. The arrival of quarterback C.J. Stroud helped spark a turnaround, with the team posting back-to-back 10–7 playoff seasons in 2023 and 2024, then improving to 12–5 with another playoff appearance in 2025. The current roster features Stroud alongside notable players such as Nico Collins, Tank Dell, Will Anderson Jr., Danielle Hunter, Derek Stingley Jr., and kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn.
