Andrew Erickson· Jun 23, 2026

Erickson expects Ladd McConkey to be the Chargers' clear No. 1 receiver, and names Jonathan Brooks a must-have late-round target with big upside despite going outside the top 30 running backs.

So I want the Chargers, and I think Lad's gonna be the No. Number one wide receiver here.

None of them have settled yet — they grade once their results are in.

Who this take is about

2 checkable claims in this take

Each one is scored on its own against the published methodology. A pundit naming several outcomes is graded on each, not on all-or-nothing.

  • Ladd McConkey to be 1st on the depth chart

So I want the Chargers, and I think Lad's gonna be the No. Number one wide receiver here.

Not settled yet. This is graded once the result is in.

    Think this is wrong?

  • Jonathon Brooks to outplay his draft cost (outside the top thirty running backs)

Of the three names you mentioned, there was only one of them that was in my must have targets and his name is Jonathan Brooks... He's just a late run running back with a ton of upside that I think when push comes to shove, you're just gonna want to make sure you get them on your team.

Not settled yet. This is graded once the result is in.
