Derek Brown· Aug 25, 2026

Brown says he is lower than consensus on Lamar Jackson and will not draft him in 2026 unless he slips well past his current ADP, arguing the price bakes in a QB1 finish that is far from certain.

I won’t discourage anyone for taking the swing on Jackson in any draft, but I won’t be in 2026 unless he slips quite far past his current ADP.

Each one is scored on its own against the published methodology. A pundit naming several outcomes is graded on each, not on all-or-nothing.

  • Lamar Jackson to fall short of his draft cost (his current ADP)

Yes, I’m lower than consensus with Lamar Jackson this season, but I fully acknowledge his upside... where he’s being drafted is baking in that as a near certainty when it’s not.

Not settled yet. This is graded once the result is in.
