The middle ground
The same graded calls, zoomed to the bands between the spikes — every take that earned partial credit.
Takes in each band
1,344 graded takes land strictly between the extremes, and the shape has a story: the counts climb as the scores improve. A take that earns partial credit is far more likely to be nearly right than nearly wrong.
This is where the curve-graded kinds live — mock draft picks (914), season win totals (151) and positional finishes (130) — the kinds where missing by a little costs a little, not everything.

my pick for offensive Rookie of the Year. I was sitting here saying, cam Ward
I have three a AFC West teams in the playoffs ... the Chargers, the Broncos and the Chiefs
I have three a AFC West teams in the playoffs ... the Chargers, the Broncos and the Chiefs
I have three a AFC West teams in the playoffs because they're looking as far as the Chargers, the Broncos and the Chiefs, they are looking like all three will be in the playoff picture.
I know, the Bears, someone jumps out as being strange, but everything else, I mean, the wildcard teams, the division champs, like, I'm pretty comfortable with that.
Is it nine and eight and they squeak in or is it ten and seven and they have a nice comfortable wild card. It is still going to happen. I won't deviate.
I put Mike Parsons in. He was my defensive player of the Year pick
If it goes the way that I see it, they'll finish eight eight and one
And yes, I do have the Giants on the right side of the screen
I'm looking at this Chargers team and I'm looking at what's going on the Titans... I just don't understand how you stop the Chargers at half capacity.
Arizona Cardinals yep, Monday Night Football plus two and a half... I think they're going to get a win on Monday Night football.
My my model's picking the Bills.
At home, the Packers twelve and a half. I like that one against the Carolina Panthers... Packers over twelve and a half by win by more than twelve and a half points.
I'm going to start with my most confident pick of the week... they're only three point underdogs at home to the Seahawks... I just think they're another class than the Washington Commanders team
I'm going to go with New England to cover I know five and a half it's at home
Bears minus three. Okay, that's against the Bengals. Yep, coaching mismatch... I just think the Bears their floor is much higher. I think we get this win.
I'm taking the Chiefs, but I don't feel amazing about it.
I think it's possible that Jonathan Gannon's like, let's throw out Jacoby Brissett in front of the media, but we're going with Kyler.
But I mean the Chargers are going to beat the Titans
And Atlanta does have the best running back in the NFL other than Jonathan Taylor this year.
I think the Chiefs win by at least a field goal. I'll lay the point and a half.
I think the Giants are floundering a bit... All lay the two and a half with San Francisco
I think Seattle's really good. I think Washington is bad and injured. I'll take Seattle minus three.
Give me Buffalo money line.
I'm going to take the Chiefs to cover man
