The Los Angeles Chargers were founded in 1959 in Los Angeles, California. They play home games at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood and are headquartered in El Segundo. The franchise is owned by Dean Spanos, with Joe Horitz serving as general manager and Jim Harbaugh as head coach. The Chargers have experienced significant swings in fortune over the years covered here. A 13–3 playoff season in 2009 gave way to middling results through much of the 2010s, including back-to-back losing campaigns in 2015 (4–12) and 2016 (5–11). The club rebounded sharply in 2018 with a 12–4 record and playoff berth, then slipped again before finding renewed consistency. After a 5–12 struggle in 2023, the Chargers posted consecutive 11–6 playoff seasons in 2024 and 2025. The current roster features quarterback Justin Herbert alongside notable names such as offensive linemen Joe Alt, Rashawn Slater, and Tyler Biadasz; pass rusher Khalil Mack; safety Derwin James; and receivers Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey.
