The middle ground
The same graded calls, zoomed to the bands between the spikes — every take that earned partial credit.
Takes in each band
1,344 graded takes land strictly between the extremes, and the shape has a story: the counts climb as the scores improve. A take that earns partial credit is far more likely to be nearly right than nearly wrong.
This is where the curve-graded kinds live — mock draft picks (914), season win totals (151) and positional finishes (130) — the kinds where missing by a little costs a little, not everything.

He is clearly, by far way ahead of Mims. He is the one and the two with Sutton.
the one and two one answer was clear Dobbs, and now we have the elimination of read on top of it, so I think it just makes it even clear
So I had whole twenty two preseason, I'd probably move him up two spots... so that would pretty much be like right around twenty
Fits what do you think rest of the season? ... Wide receiver twenty seven
I've got Hampton RB thirteen.
This is the starting running back who is going to get I think, pretty much every touch he can handle, just because there's no other competition there for an offense that I expect to be like the poor man's Bengals this year.
I think the balance of power in the backfield probably shifts back towards Walker in the coming weeks.
Hall was running back sixteen in my preseason rankings. Now he's up to fourteen in the rest of season rankings
Etn was running back thirty four for me... And now I've got him at RB fourteen
On Kenneth Walker being the bell cow... I moved them all the way down to RB eighteen.
I just don't know that the Eagles just don't gob smack them again. I just think the Eagles match up too well with the Chiefs... position by a position. I'm just gonna take the Eagles
my game pick for Casey Philly is twenty seven to twenty four Kansas City... the Chiefs plus one in a game, I expect them to win, outright
I think Jacksonville wins this game outright... I think Jacksonville wins this game twenty seven, twenty one. I will take the Jags getting three points.
All right, That's why I'm with you there. Six and a half's a lot Arizona. But yeah, Carolina sucks.
It would not shock me at all if Atlanta wins this game... And so I like Atlanta in this spot indoors, short week
I just I think Carolina is really, really bad... I will lay the six and a half with Arizona.
I'm with you on this one. I struggled with it. The heart of it all. Likes the cult story... But ultimately I agreed with every single point that you made
No, picking the Broncos. It's two and a half points... Mostly the reason I'm picking them is because the Denver Bronco defense is the best unit in this game
Minnesota is at three and a half. I have Minnesota winning by three
I have them winning by six... so I think Cincinnati wins by more than three and a half points at home against the Jacks.
I had them going to the playoffs as my seventh seed.
It was me who picked the Lions to the super Bowl, and I'm feeling a little uneasy.
Lls over Eagles? ... and my super Bowl picks won their first games
I'm going to pick this game straight up for the Jaguars on game debut where you don't have to do that here... I'm taking the Jaguars plus three and a half.
then I have a two point win in favor of Pittsburgh only
